Join us at the library for a very unique program. Michael H. Cunningham, a longtime Norwood resident, Viet Nam veteran, retired U. S. Customs official, and author of numerous books about Viet Nam and homeland security, has recently returned to Viet Nam on a recovery mission with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA.) On this trip, Cunningham and the POW/MIA team searched a mountainous area west of Tam Ky, Viet Nam for the remains of a fallen soldier lost in a horrific battle on July 29, 1968.

Cunningham’s presentation tells the story of America’s loss and attempt to recover the remains of this fallen hero. In this touching and heartfelt story, you will witness the endless means our country goes to in an effort to bring all her fighting men and women home. Please register for this program by calling 781-769-0200 x110 or 222, filling out the form below, or visiting the Reference or Information desk in the library.
