Job Search Workshops @ Morrill Memorial Library, Simoni Room | Norwood | Massachusetts | United States

Would you like to maximize your chances of getting hired? Come to any or all of four job search workshops at the Morrill Memorial Library on alternate Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m., beginning with “Contemporary Resumes” on November 30. The remaining three workshops in this series presented by Mike Pyne, a certified professional resume writer, are “Successful Interviews” (Dec. 14), “The Elevator Pitch” (Dec. 28), and “Cover Letters” (Jan. 11).

In the first workshop, on November 30 at 6:30 p.m., Mr. Pyne will discuss how to tailor your resume to fit the specifications of the job posting and make it stand out. The second session, “Successful Interviews,” will cover the importance of preparing for your interview and presenting yourself in the most positive light. In “The Elevator Pitch” you will learn how to talk about yourself with confidence in a way that will highlight your knowledge, skills, and accomplishments. The final workshop will focus on the cover letter—yet another opportunity to market yourself and make a good first impression.

Mike Pyne has been a career counselor at One-Stop Career Centers in Massachusetts and has led numerous workshops. He is a former hiring manager with extensive expertise in the interview process. To sign up for any of these Thursday evening workshops, please call 781-769-0200, x110, fill out the form below, or stop by the library Reference or Information Desk.
