Dr. Gary Hylander: Woodrow Wilson - A New World Order @ Morrill Memorial Library, Simoni Room | Norwood | Massachusetts | United States

Popular historian and professor Dr. Gary Hylander will return to the Morrill Memorial Library for his fourth and final lecture of the year on Wednesday, November 1 at 7 p.m. He will present “Woodrow Wilson: A New World Order.” In April of 1917, President Wilson asked Congress for a declaration of war against the Central Powers of Europe. Join us as we discuss Wilson’s unsuccessful efforts to preserve American neutrality and his reasons for entering the Great War of 1914-18, a war that Wilson insisted must be the “war to end all wars” and a war to make the world “safe for democracy.” In January, 1919, Wilson sailed for France to attend the Paris Peace Conference.
