Cooking with Indian Spices @ Morrill Memorial Library, Simoni Room | Norwood | Massachusetts | United States

Indian food is known for its bold and multi-layered flavors, textures, and aromas, but how can you recreate that culinary experience in your own home? Cooking instructor, Sandhya Jain, will lead us on a culinary excursion on Wednesday, September 5 at 7:00 pm in the Morrill Memorial Library’s Simoni Room. Sandhya will show and pass around various spices, describe their use in India cooking, and discuss their health benefits. Sample bags of essential Indian spices will be handed out, and Sandhya will have exotic harder-to-find spices available for sale. Cooking has been Sandhya’s passion for over 20 years. The owner of Sandhya’s Kitchen, she has made it her mission to recreate the flavors of her childhood using ingredients found in our local grocery stores.
